Several former Superstars could be returning to WWE to be part of the "New Era". We hope Jamie might be one of them down the line. |
If you haven’t noticed, WWE has entered a “New Era” within their company over the last few months, which saw a major shift take place at the beginning of the summer with a brand extension. Raw and Smackdown are now their own brands, with their own rosters and feel of their shows. Raw is more entertainment-based, with many of the established stars, while Smackdown (which is now live) is the “younger” and shorter show (two hours compared to Raw’s three) with the newer talent and a few established main-eventers. NXT has also undergone a significant change as well, as it’s now more of an “underground” brand featuring many former independent wrestling standouts and the best talents from the WWE Performance Center. As of this writing, Raw has the United States, Tag Team, and Women’s Championship, with the upcoming Universal title as their main championship, while Smackdown has the WWE World and Intercontinental Championships, with rumors of their own Tag Team and Women’s title coming soon and NXT having their own main, tag-team, and women’s titles. With these major changes, WWE has been contacting former employers to bring them back to the company to help move WWE forward in this New Era. We have no idea if they contacted Brittany yet or even at all, but here’s our take on why we feel Jamie Keyes deserves another shot in WWE.
Raw
As of now, Raw has THE top women’s title in sports-entertainment: The WWE Women’s Championship. Currently, Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and Charlotte are the ones battling it out at the top of the division, with Nia Jax potentially waiting for the the winner of that rivalry on the horizon. Alicia Fox, Summer Rae, and Paige could be vying for a spot at the top soon, and you know Dana Brooke will eventually not want to play second-fiddle for long if she ever wants to be a champion at some point. It would be interesting to see what someone of Jamie Keyes’s talents could do amongst Raw’s leading ladies, especially with her athletic prowess. A feud with Sasha Banks would be good, a feud with Nia Jax could be money, a feud with Dana Brooke would be entertaining for the flex shows alone, but a feud against Charlotte....Genetically Superior against Sexy, Strong, and Unstoppable?! COUNT US IN!!!
Smackdown Live
This would be the brand we would put her on, despite the Women’s title being on Raw. Natalya and Becky Lynch, talent-wise, lead the division, and the rest of the division (as a whole) is hungry for opportunity: Alexa Bliss, Carmella, her best friend from the old NXT Naomi, and yes, even Eva Marie. You noticed something after looking at those names. With the exception of Natalya (who is viewed more of a technical wrestler anyways), none of them are considered “powerhouses”. Raw’s got them a-plenty with Nia Jax, Charlotte, and Dana Brooke. Smackdown Live could use a powerhouse woman in their ranks, and Jamie Keyes would be a great fit for them. Our perfect scenario would be being Natalya’s protégé, similar to what Dana is for Charlotte right now. The two are legit friends, BTW.
NXT
This isn’t the same NXT that Jamie was a part of back in the day. It has evolved into WWE’s underground/college brand that can seemingly do no wrong these days, especially with their women’s division. Ever since NXT was rebranded by Triple H, women’s wrestling was made the forefront and it’s only gotten better from here. Askua, the current NXT Women’s Champion, and Bayley, former NXT Women’s Champion, are prime examples of that. Add Peyton Royce, Billy Kay, Liv Morgan, Mandy Rose, Daria, and the soon-to-debut Ember Moon, and you have one hell of a women’s division that can carry NXT to the next level. Like Smackdown Live, NXT (to us) could use a power woman, and she fits that role perfectly.
So there you have it, a look at why Jamie Keyes would fit on any brand in WWE right now. Let’s make this clear…we’re not saying that Brittany (Jamie) will even be back in a WWE ring. Hell, there’s a greater chance that she will never be a part of WWE again. But the way things are going in the company right now, if she even has an itch to go back and make a name for herself in sports-entertainment, now is the perfect time for her to do so, and in any brand, she would be a major star. From what little she was on WWE a few years back, she had a physique that would put comic-book heroines to shame. From her time outside WWE, she has shown to be quite the athlete, running marathons and lifting weights twice her size. We’re just saying…someone with that kind of beauty and athleticism should be given a platform to perform, a canvas to paint. In our honest opinion, WWE as it is right now is the perfect canvas for her to paint her masterpiece. If returning to WWE on a brand isn’t in the cards, there is another outlet within WWE that would be just as rewarding and maybe even better suited for her. But THAT…that is another article.
